2018 - Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, Ch. Cone-Taillasson
As 2015 vintage is becoming a rarity (only few left) a remarkably well-priced 2018 wine featuring aromas of blackcurrant and tart dark berries with smoke. Medium to full-bodied with a firm tannic grip. Since 1832, seven generations of the Carreau family have farmed 202 acres of vineyards. Pair with a rare steak. Food pairings: grilled flat iron steaks, pork chops in a savoury sauce, tourtière.
