2014 - Pauillac, Fleur de Pédesclaux
This left-bank (Médoc) Bordeaux wine is the second label of Pauillac Château Pédesclaux. It is a blend of Merlot and Cab-Sauv. that was aged for 14 months in oak barrels (1/3 new and 2/3 used). The palate brings in good acidity balanced by a medium body and relatively smooth tannins. The fresh berry flavors are pleasant, and again, backed up with a wealth of spices.Give it a couple of years at least to smoothen up. Drink between 3 to 10 years to make the most of the wine’s juicy fruit character but also benefit from the savory complexity it should develop with some aging.
Varietal: 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon
