2017 - Côte de Beaune, "Clos des topes Bizot" C. Lescure
Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, Domaine Chantal Lescure is a family domaine that now belongs to their two sons: Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont. An owner harvesting 18 hectares of AOC vineyards, the Domaine Chantal Lescure extends from Chambolle-Musigny in Côte de Nuits to Meursault in Côte de Beaune. In 1996 François Chavériat was hired as a cellar master and has been moving the domaine towards agrobiology since 1997.
The 2017 shows high-toned aromas of ripe black cherry fruit with rose, black pepper, earth and citrus, quite elegant. The palate is dense and earthy with sappy black cherry - intensely mineral with firm acidity, earth and black fruits that linger in the long finish. This is a quite elegant and "mineral" Burgundy
Varietal : 100% Pinot Noir
